A great way to save money during college is to buy used textbooks whenever you can. Create a spreadsheet that lists the ISBN number of the book you need and search various sites such as your college bookstore, Chegg, Textbook.com, Amazon, Ebay and any other reliable source you trust. Record the price of the textbook (include shipping costs) for each site and take into consideration the condition of the used book (the better the condition the higher price you can try selling it for after the semester). Purchase the book that is the lowest cost and in the best condition. This approach takes additional time versus just going to the college bookstore and buying them all in one go but the savings are often worth the time.
