Wine and Dime Episode 33 - In the Land of China with Chuck Donalies

In this episode of Wine and Dime, I chat with the owner of Donalies Financial Planning, LLC, Chuck Donalies. We talk about his path to becoming a financial planner, his love of exercise, his family, and of course, our favorite wines. We take time to talk about his recent trip to China with his oldest daughter and some of the impressions that they came away with. It truly was a fascinating conversation that I’m sure you will enjoy. So pop open a bottle of your favorite wine and enjoy the episode!

Aslina Wines - Chardonnay

A complex fruity chardonnay, creamy and full. Partial wooding gives this wine the edge and to show the beautiful tropical fruit and limy character.  Good acidity balancing the fruit and wood.12% of the wine was in barrels for 12 months while the rest was on the lees in the tank.

Belhurst Pinot Grigio.jpg

Belhurst Estate - Pinot Grigio

Pinot Grigio is the Italian name for Pinot Gris, a white mutation of the Pinot family which shares its genetic fingerprint with Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc et al. The term Pinot Grigio has become strongly associated with lighter wines produced in great quantities, particularly in northern Italy.

The refreshing Pinot Grigio style has enjoyed great success in various countries, most recently the United States, (where it is fondly nicknamed "Greej") and Australia. The most common descriptors of the style are "light", "crisp" and "dry". These characteristics are complemented by aroma notes citing lemon, green apple and blossoms.
